Electrical Testing Technology Training Empowers Railway Employees to Enhance Skills

Recently, Xianheng Electrical was invited by the Vocational Education Department of a railway bureau to deliver electrical testing technology training at the bureau’s training base.

The program provided participants with both foundational electrical testing theory and hands-on field experience. In class, instructors covered key concepts, introduced new testing techniques, and addressed challenges commonly encountered in field operations.

To encourage interaction, the training featured engaging activities such as a “quiz with prizes.” For challenging, practical, and industry-relevant questions, the first participant to answer correctly received a small, custom-designed gift from Xianheng. The session received positive feedback, with participants actively engaging in discussions and addressing in-class questions.

Adopting a “theory + practice” approach, the training not only deepened theoretical understanding but also offered practical exercises and equipment operation guidance.

• Transformer winding deformation test: Participants simulated transformer faults, then compared the test results with those from normal windings and deformations.

• Circuit breaker characteristic test: Comprehensive training on mechanical performance testing, including opening and closing times, operating speeds, low-voltage tripping, and operational sequences.

  
  

• Transformer volt-ampere characteristic tests: Understanding the significance of the tests and learning to interpret CT errors.
  

Through this technical exchange, Xianheng Electrical aims to accelerate skill development for Railway Group employees and contribute to the cultivation of highly skilled industry professionals.
